LANSING – Gage Cannabis Co. is now offering adult-use recreational marijuana sales at its Lansing location, after opening its first retail location in Adrian in April.

Gage operates provisioning centers in Adrian, Ferndale, Lansing and Traverse City, as well as the Cookies store in Detroit.

The Lansing store is located at 3425 S. Martin Luther King Blvd. and has been open for medical card holders since May 2020.

“We are thrilled to start offering recreational sales to more customers within the Lansing area,” said Fabian Monaco, president of Gage Cannabis. “The demand for adult-use products has exploded in the past year, and we are ready and eager to meet those needs. We have received an overwhelmingly positive response from medical patients about our products and retail experience, and we look forward to providing the same level of service and product selection to our new community of recreational customers.”

On opening day, customers can expect to partake in curbside concessions, music and giveaways as they are serviced. Orders will be available for either curbside delivery or walk-up pick up. A valid government-issued ID such as a driver’s license, passport or state identification card is required to shop. The adult-use store opening will feature a variety of strains of flower, in addition to a wide range of pre-rolls, edibles, concentrates, topicals, tinctures, CBD products, accessories and apparel.

Lansing is also home to Gage’s first social equity recipient, Ryan Basore. Basore is the proprietor of Redemption Cannabis and has spent more than ten years as a champion for cannabis legalization and policy development in Michigan. His efforts to participate in the legal market were affected by federal prohibition enforcement activities but with Gage’s support, Redemption Cannabis launched this year with their products being sold in dispensaries throughout Michigan.

As part of its social equity mission, Gage is offering 19 grants in recognition of the communities identified by the Michigan Regulatory Agency as having been disproportionately affected by prior marijuana prohibition policies. Each grant of up to $50,000 is intended to offset the cost of license applications and other startup activities.

As the exclusive cultivator and retailer of world-leading cannabis brands including Cookies, Lemonnade, Collins Avenue, Runtz, Grandiflora, SLANG Worldwide and OG Raskal in Michigan, Gage Cannabis Co. is strategically positioned to become the retailer of choice among adult-use consumers. Gage currently operates five retail stores and is in the process of opening up more locations by the end of the year and anticipates opening over 20 stores by the end of 2021.
