DETROIT – A two-hour, on-line introduction to connected vehicle concepts, condensed from an intense three-day training program, is available through the end of this month by Mobile Comply and the Mobile Technology Association of Michigan.
The Overview course is intended to benefit managers and participants interested in enhancing their professional credibility in the connected vehicle field with a foundational understanding of the concepts necessary to succeed. It will include exposure to the eco-system that is becoming part of the V2X and V2D revolution, along with a synopsis of in-vehicle technology, mobile devices and the infrastructure to support the connected vehicle industry.
MTAM elected to make this course available due to the continuing challenges Michigan firms are having in finding qualified staff, said Linda Daichendt, Executive Director, Mobile Technology Association of Michigan.
“We hear it from all of our members, but especially those working in the connected vehicle space – and given that this is Michigan, you can imagine that there are a lot of these firms here,” she said.
“Universities are having a hard time keeping up with the pace of technology advancements in this field, as a result, they’re not able to provide the necessary training to students. This becomes a serious issue for employers in dire need of employees with highly technical skill sets. Hence the need for specialized training that only Mobile Comply can offer. They have a world-class reputation, and they’re right here in our own backyard, so it makes it easy for us to work with them to offer programs – especially online programs – that can assist people around the world who are interested in gaining this knowledge because we know that Michigan firms in this field are not the only ones experiencing this issue.”
The cost is $499. To register, click on http://dld.bz/erNvD
