DETROIT – Mobile Monday Detroit is focusing on Wireless Sensors Oct. 12 with an event called Changing Industries, aimed at helping Michigan get a clearer picture of the impact of these devices on our lives and businesses.
During the 6 pm event at TechTown Detroit, MTAM will explore the world of sensors – how they’ve been used for millennia and how the new march toward the Internet of Things (IoT) is rekindling interest in sensor technology. Several modern applications for sensors will be explored and possible future applications will be discussed.
Speakers for the event will be:
Gerry Roston, CEO of Civionics and Executive-in-Residence at TechTown Detroit
Al Juarez, Director of Business Development, RX Networks and Organizer of the Mobile Monday Grand Rapids chapter
The event is free to attend but attendance is limited due to space limitations, therefore advance reservations via Meetup ARE REQUIRED in order to attend; make your reservation at http://meetup.com/Mobile-Monday-Detroit. Refreshments will be served courtesy of our host, TechTown Detroit. Free parking is available in the lot next to the TechTown building.
Mobile Monday Detroit is sponsored by the Mobile Technology Association of Michigan (MTAM) and TechTown Detroit.
