MIDLAND – BlueWater Angels said it has funded Dental Recycling of North America, although the dollar figure for the investment was not specified. BlueWater Angels also said it is providing operating support to the company, described as the fastest growing waste management company solely dedicated to the dental profession

The press release also said DRNA, which has moved operations to the Midland-Bay City area, also has partnered with a local company to manufacture its amalgam separator in the region.

DRNA founded over 15 years ago is bringing up to $20 million dollars of new manufacturing work to the Great Lakes Bay Region and is exploring additional operations that might bring additional jobs to the region.

BlueWater Angel funds will be used to accelerate sales growth nationally.

“As a result of new federal regulations which go into effect this December, DRNA anticipates to grow its current sales by $120 million dollars over the next 4 years,” said Marc Sussman, President and CEO.

“We will be adding around $20 million and possibly as high as $25 million in revenue to the area during this time period,” he said. “We are very excited about our cooperation with the BlueWater Angels group, and look forward to this growth for both our company and the region.”

BlueWater Angels President Ken Kousky described the investment as an “opportunity that is great for the region and great for the investors.”

Kousky said the BlueWater Angels Investment Network is one of the largest and most active investment groups in Michigan per dollars invested when compared to other angel groups in the State. In addition to the capital that members bring to any deal, equally important is the group’s business and technical expertise along with valuable industry connections that assist companies like DRNA in accelerated growth and increase the probability of success.
