WARSAW, Poland – The Giez unmanned aerial vehicle was unveiled at the MSPO-2023 exhibition in Poland. The new drone is characterised by its compact size and can be equipped with different types of ammunition.

Giez is a kamikaze drone. The drone was created by engineers at the Military Institute of Technology and will be manufactured at MSP Inntech’s factory. The GX-4 warhead will be manufactured by Belma.

The kamikaze drone can be equipped with different types of ammunition. In particular, shaped charge, thermobaric and fragmentation charges.

The Giez itself is 1.075 metres long and has a wingspan of 1.66 metres. The kamikaze drone can fly for 30 minutes. The maximum flight altitude is 2,000 metres. The drone with warhead and launcher weighs about 12kg.

An important feature of the Giez is the ability to abort the mission without losing the barrage munition. If necessary, the operator can cancel the attack and return the kamikaze drone. Landing is performed using a parachute system.
