DETROIT – On April 29, MITechNews.Com will co-host IoT TechConnect 2 at the Michigan Science Center. Connected & Autonomous Vehicles: A deep dive into what Michigan auto companies are doing to develop Connected and Autonomous Vehicles. Panels also will discuss how CAVs will transform the transportation landscape. Plus a panel will examine the testing labs in Michigan. Another session will look at Smart Cities.
Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality/AI: Michigan companies will present a workshop that will demonstrate the capabilities of Augmented Reality, Mixed Realty and Virtual Reality, as well as how Artificial Intelligence enhances capabilities of all three. Software and hardware will be demonstrated in this workshop.
IoT Cyber Security: IOT Management – a practitioner’s perspective. This presentation will cover a full life cycle approach by any organization to manage the IOT devices consisting of Organizational awareness (including board), Policy formation, Implementation including Asset management, Network Access Control and Risk management. A third session will focus on how to keep hackers out of connected vehicles.
Mobility – How will tomorrow’s mobility impact transportation as we know it? Experts say the future is electric vehicles, electric scooters, and other electric forms of transportation that will be controlled through smart phones and smart devices.
Technology-as-a-Service – The As-A-Service category includes software, cybersecurity, analytics, and more. Services from the cloud simply businesses’ IT departments by outsourcing most of those functions once done in-house and makes them affordable on a monthly or quarterly payment schedule, rather than spending tens of thousands of dollars or more upfront. Some local Michigan companies that are providing AaS models will be featured.
IIoT 101 – So you want to get into the Internet of Things but don’t know the basics. In this track, IoT experts will explain the ins and outs of the Internet of Things.

Full track sponsorship – Includes management of three 45-minute sessions that can be moderated panel discussions or workshops. Four sessions will run concurrently in the morning (10 am to 1 pm) and four in the afternoon (2 pm to 5 pm). Also included in this package is a 10 by 8 foot booth. Cost is $9,950. Michigan Science Center receives a $1,500 donation per track.
Session sponsors within Tracks – If a full track is not sponsored, individual 45-minute sessions within these unsponsored tracks can be purchased for $3,000. Session sponsors manage the tracks. Cost is $3000. Michigan Science Center receives $450 donation.
VIP Reception: Open to panelists, speakers, keynotes and invited guests of sponsoring company. Held in ITC Gallery from 5 to 7 pm. Cost $10,000. Mi-Sci gets $1,500 donation.
