AUBURN HILLS – Stellantis has unveiled its latest offering for electric vehicle (EV) owners: Free2move Charge. This comprehensive system aims to provide EV owners with convenient charging and energy management options, catering to their needs at home, at work, and on the go. Introducing Free2move Charge aligns with Stellantis’ Dare Forward 2030 plan, which focuses on advancing electrification and sustainability.

The service has already been launched in North America, with Europe and the rest of the world to follow. There’s just one small problem – Stellantis has yet to sell battery EVs in the US.

One of the key components of Free2move Charge is the e-ABC Promise, which stands for Easy to Always Be Charged. It ensures that EV users always have their vehicles charged based on three pillars: Home, Go, and Business.

Free2move Charge Home assists customers with installing, financing, and guaranteeing home charging equipment and other energy-related products and services. At the same time, Free2move Charge Go eases access to a network of public charging points through partnerships in various regions.

Speaking of partnerships, Stellantis said it is considering an agreement with Tesla to access its 12,000 Superchargers in North America, though that has yet to get a final verdict.

Meanwhile, Free2move Charge Business caters to fleet services, including early assistance, cost estimation, and optimal charging infrastructure design.
