TROY – Walsh College is delivering on its promise to offer students practical experience as part of its curriculum. This semester, graduate business information technology students have been tackling projects that have practical applications – they meet a real need in their jobs. Projects include creating web sites, computer applications, research papers and more.

Master of Science in Information Systems and Master of Science in Information Assurance students will have an opportunity to showcase their semester projects during the Capstone Fair from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 21 at the Walsh College Troy campus.

“The Walsh College model for Capstone Projects is very effective because it supports business initiatives,” said Professor Jeff Livermore. “I’m impressed every semester by the creativity and innovation of the students. Our faculty, college officers and even recruiters are wowed every time they attend our Capstone Fair.”

Twelve students will showcase their projects during this semester’s Capstone Fair. Highlights include a student who will showcase a Payment Card Industry (PCI) project for credit card compliance and another student will feature a grant.
