TROY – Walsh College Information Assurance Center Director Nan Poulios, CISSP, CISM, will speak on Phishing, Phaxing, Pharming, and Training at CSI 2007 on November 3-9 in Washington, D.C.
In a presentation on why information security training often fails to produce the expected effects, Poulios will discuss how users? online actions often directly conflict with their concerns about Internet privacy and will provide ?phishing examples from the wild? that show how security controls are bypassed.
Poulios, a full-time faculty member of the Walsh College Information Assurance department, has taught various topics within information assurance, including training security teams for Fortune 500 clients. She is studying toward a doctoral degree in information security from Nova Southeastern University.
