TROY ? The application deadline for the Walsh College Information Assurance Scholarship ? funded by the Defense Department ? is just a week away.
Applicants must be students in the Walsh master of science in information assurance program or another graduate program and specialize in information assurance ? delivering data, text, and more in a secure manner.
Potential funding may be available beginning in the Fall 2006 semester. All applications must be completed in full and submitted by 6 p.m. Friday, February 11.
Students selected to participate in the program will be required to sign a written agreement obligating them to work for DOD as a civilian employee for one calendar year for each year of scholarship assistance received. Scholarship winners also will be required to serve in DOD internship positions during the time they are receiving scholarship support.
Candidates must be 18 or older, U.S. citizens, Walsh College graduate students, and must be able to qualify for a security clearance, including drug and polygraph tests.
