TROY – On November 10 and 11 at the Troy Campus, Walsh College Information Assurance Center and Ernst & Young hosted the After Hours Consulting Challenge. Five teams of students competed for bragging rights and gift cards and the chance to impress the E & Y judges.

The Consulting Challenge was a simulation designed to give students a peek at the world of security consulting. Students were given the business case at noon on Friday, and had to turn in their reports at noon the next day.

Teams presented their findings Saturday afternoon and the winner was announced by IA Director Nan Poulios.

?This competition gave students an opportunity to gain expertise and hands-on experience in consulting and helped them understand how consultants work with clients,? Poulios said.

The winning team included members Elyse Sherman, Chris Tiffany, Chris Keighan and Keith Wilson. Judges were: Sajay Rai, Nate McFeters and Terri Pierce from Ernst & Young; Hari Sarma from General Motors; and Michael Homant and Nick Ryan from Asset Acceptance.
