FARMINGTON HILLS – TruArx, an IT services company, has achieved Qualified Data Security Company status now that it has met the requirements to perform Payment Card Industry data security assessments.

The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard is the result of collaboration between Visa and Mastercard, and was designed to create common industry security requirements. PCI compliance is required for all merchants and service providers that store, process, or transmit Visa and Mastercard cardholder data. Additional card companies operating in the United States have also endorsed the PCI Data Security Standard, and may require validation of PCI compliance as well.

?We?re extremely excited to be named a QDSC,? said TruArx CEO Robert Capinjola. ?Time and again we?ve heard from merchants and service providers that they need experienced security partners who can help them understand and interpret the Data Security Standard, how it applies to their environment, and the risk and legalities that can result from non-compliance. Utilizing our extensive security experience and proven methodology, we?re helping clients understand their current status, as well as developing clear, efficient, and cost-effective mitigation strategies so they can become fully compliant.?
