GRAND RAPIDS – James Placer CCSE, CCSP, will examine the true cost of a data breach Nov. 16 at the next meeting of The Right Place Program’s Fourth Friday networking event.

The recent changes in state and federal legislation have pushed the data retention and notification requirements to all companies and individuals with significant punitive fines for non-compliance. This presentation will discuss the changes that have been enacted, the punitive measures, and who in an

organization will ultimately carry the cost of a personal information breach.

Placer is a networking security professional with over 20 years of experience.
