TROY ? Walsh College and the SBC Foundation on Aug. 24 will present a security program called Privacy, Policy and Protection – Troy; a systems security briefing for government, health care and human service organization.
Walsh College is offering the half-day seminar on information assurance to government and not for profit organizations through a grant from the SBC Foundation. The briefing will bring organizations up to date on systems security issues such as compliance and risk assessment and will provide sample policies and assessments. Tickets are $25 and include lunch.
Walsh College’s expertise in information security was recognized in June by the Committee on National Systems Security for cutting edge curriculum, one of few schools in the country mapping to the latest NSA and Homeland Security standards. Walsh College was the first school in the state of Michigan designated as a Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance Education.
