DETROIT ? On March 1, InfraGard and The SANS (SysAdmin, Audit, Network, Security) Institute launched a five-month pilot partnership to provide up-to-date and practical training on current issues for the security community.
SANS Institute is the acknowledged leader in security training. Their instructors have front line experience doing the work they teach in the classroom.
Every InfraGard member who registers using special codes provided to each Chapter will receive 10 percent discount for training and conferences. If you are an InfraGard member, you should have received the code for Michigan InfraGard via email. If you are not a Michigan InfraGard member, there is no time like the present to get involved.
Some of the scheduled events include:
SANS Rocky Mountain 2005, May 8-14 ? Denver
SANSFIRE, June12-18 ? Atlanta
SANS Washington DC, July 28 ? August 3
If 50 or more InfraGard members take advantage of the SANS-InfraGard pilot program, each chapter can also get a bonus payment from $25 to $125 for each member from their chapter who registers for training or a conference. This program can provide much needed financial assistance to the two Michigan InfraGard chapters.
