DEARBORN ? Motor City ISSA will not be holding a monthly meeting in October, but the security networking group is urging its members to attend an ISSA Lunch at SecureWorld, Oct. 10 at the Ford Conference and Event Center in Dearborn.
The featured speaker at the ISSA-member only lunch is Tom Gennell, Director of Data Privacy for Microsoft Corp.
ISSA Officer Elections
Nominations for 2007-2008 ISSA Board positions are underway. Nominations must be received by October 31st. You can nominate yourself or another ISSA member in good standing who is willing to invest the time and perform the requirements of the position.
ISSA Board positions include: President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary.
Elections will be held by email to members in good standing in the month of November. Elected Board members will be announced at the December meeting.
Items to note: Members can hold an office position for a total of four consecutive years, but current officers can only hold the same office position for two consecutive years (for example, you can hold the Treasurer position for two consecutive years, Vice President for one year, President for one year). Note that these guidelines are for consecutive years ? former officers have the opportunity to run again, if they choose. Those running for office should decide if they are running for the same Board position, or another office.
