DETROIT – The March 25th InfraGard half day meeting, which focused on public health preparedness and business continuity, drew more than 50 participants and generated a very positive overall response on the speakers, topic and value of the session. Excellent feedback was also gathered for use in planning future sessions.
Users are seeing increased activity on the Michigan InfraGard Web Site
– more than 26 Intelligence documents have been posted in the last two months, so visiting the site often is a must.
Besides the secure website, members also subscribe to the Global Information Snapshot, which is distributed daily and provides updates on activities around the world. For those companies that have responsibilities outside the United States, this newsletter has been invaluable.
At the meeting, Janis Rose, President of the InfraGard Springfield Members Alliance, made an appeal to all state chapters of InfraGard. Rose is looking for volunteers to serve on the InfraGard Awards Committee. Any InfraGard member can consider serving as a volunteer on the National Awards Committee.

If you are a new InfraGard member, joining this committee can be a great start at meeting other InfraGard colleagues, experiencing the larger InfraGard community, and helping to identify individuals and chapters for their outstanding commitment to InfraGard’s mission.
At the same time, if you are a seasoned InfraGard member, your perspective brings important experience. Some of our newest members may have little or no familiarity yet with chapter initiatives or the individuals whose efforts drive the momentum forward.
Your observations provide an important context in either case.
We welcome volunteers from all chapters. We would ideally like to have committee members from all regions, representing both large and small chapters, from large population centers as well as more geographically dispersed locations.
The Awards Committee does not require an extensive time commitment. But it does offer a way to ‘give back’ to the InfraGard community, to participate in recognizing the best among us.
We all know how important it is that we value and recognize those individuals and chapters who represent our best, outstanding efforts and accomplishments. Our colleagues deserve to be recognized.
