DETROIT ? Michigan InfraGard has elected a new board for 2008 with former President Dan Lohrmann, chief information security officer for the state of Michigan, passing the leadership mantel to Rod Kinghorn, his counterpart at General Motors.
Lorhmann moves to chairman, with John Montville of Nationwide Security coming on the board as vice president; Beau Boden of Michigan Works! the new Secretary, Tom Raupp of Delphi Corp. the new Treasurer, and Hans Erickson, CIO at the Detroit Regional Chamber, the chief communications officer. Erickson also is a security columnist for MITechNews.Com.
Michigan InfraGard is an information sharing and analysis effort serving the interests and combining the knowledge base of a wide range of members. At its most basic level, InfraGard is a partnership between the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the private sector. InfraGard is an association of businesses, academic institutions, state and local law enforcement agencies, and other participants dedicated to sharing information and intelligence to prevent hostile acts against the United States. InfraGard Chapters are geographically linked with FBI Field Office territories.
