John Montville (Nationwide Security) remains as treasurer, while Rod Kinghorn (GM) remains secretary. Tom Raupp (Delphi) will serve as Chairman and Hans Erickson (Detroit Chamber of Commerce) as Public Information Officer.
Other Board members include: (Western Michigan District) – Joe McMahon (Alticor) and Larry Shattuck ? TechGuard Security. (Upper Peninsula District) – Allen Yeck (Bay College), Karl Linderoth (Bay College), and Beau Boden (MI Works ? The Job Force Board).
Michigan InfraGard also announced it will co-sponsor the first Michigan Critical Infrastructure Protection Conference on March 30-31 at the Troy Hilton.
?We are in a unique and unprecedented time in our nation?s history,” Lohrmann said. “Our children will judge the success of the steps we take to protect Michigan?s critical infrastructure. I strongly recommend that all InfraGard members attend this event.?
The conference represents the first part of a very busy year for Michigan InfraGard, now that the
Department of Homeland Security has issued a Memorandum of Understanding with to the security group, and the FBI has committed more resources to support Michigan InfraGard’s efforts to protect the state’s physical assets and cyber networks.
?From the beginning InfraGard has sought to evolve and mold itself into the kind of organization that would best serve Law Enforcement,” said InfraGard Midwest Regional Representative Larry Shattuck. “Recent strong commitments by both the DHS and FBI show that both recognize the evolution is working, and the strategic importance InfraGard is expected to play in national security.?
