LANSING ? The Michigan Homeland Security Consortium, an independent security trade group, will bring its membership to downtown Grand Rapids on August 16 at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel to announce its new board and collect input on public policy and economic development initiatives.
Attendees also will see a presentation on the advancements of technology in law enforcement.
The organization continues to attract statewide members who recognize a vital need to rally around Homeland Security technologies, public policy and economic development.
?We want more companies to put confidence in Michigan. We need businesses to select our state to grow their technology-based capabilities,? said Keith Brophy, Acting MIHSC Acting Chairman and President of NuSoft Solutions with headquarters in Troy.
MIHSC serves a targeted membership of Michigan-based developers and manufacturers of products and technologies specific to Homeland Security, as well as those companies and organizations affiliated with the industry.
