LANSING ? U.S. Marine Corps Major General Bradley Lott, the newly appointed Director of the Defense Contract Coordination Center, will be the keynote speaker on Sept. 11 at a program hosted by the Michigan Homeland Security Consortium at the Radisson Hotel in Lansing.

The MIHSC program also features a panel discussion on Michigan-based businesses succeeding in international marine and logistics activities. Panelists include representatives from the World Logistics Council and Sylvan Lake-based WhisprWave.

The group also will have a special tribute honor victims and heroes who have made sacrifices to protect our world.

Program sponsors for the event include Evigia Systems, SpamStopsHere, Second Chance Armor, Inc., and The Right Place, Inc. Several other MIHSC members and guests will exhibit in an area showcasing Michigan-based Homeland Security businesses.

MIHSC members will have special session before the public program to meet with Colonel Mike McDaniel, who leads the Homeland Security Division of the Michigan Department of Military and Veterans Affairs.
