BATTLE CREEK – The Michigan Homeland Security Consortium and Battle Creek Unlimited will announce Nov. 13 a key partnership to make investments and support the homeland security industry.
This partnership has support from statewide leaders who will participate in a news conference next Tuesday at 11:45 am at the Battle Creek Unlimited Office.
Those leaders include U.S. Representative Tim Walberg, State Senator Valde Garcia and State Senator Cameron Brown.
This announcement comes weeks before the Michigan Homeland Security Consortium hosts its second annual Michigan Homeland Security Venture & Angel Capital Symposium, which will be focused on linking up homeland security company investments with investors. BC Unlimited will play a large role in this event and activities going forward.
BC Ventures already has access to aviation and homeland security assets, such as the Kalamazoo/Battle Creek International Airport, Western Michigan University College of Aviation, the Air National Guard, Michigan Regional Response Team, Duncan Aviation and the regional Bioterrorism Unit.
