MOUNTAIN VIEW, Ca. – McAfee has launched the Sales Teaming Program, a new tier in the company’s Security Innovation Alliance that is designed to enable the McAfee sales force and channel to drive more complete security solution relationships with enterprise customers.

The McAfee Sales Teaming Program was launched at McAfee’s annual Sales Kick-Off event, which is attended by more than 1,000 McAfee sales and channel personnel.

The inaugural members of the invitation-only program include AccessData, Application Security, Bit9, Catbird, Guardium, LogRhythm, Secerno and SenSage companies that represent the markets of forensics, database security, whitelisting, virtualization security and log management. <[? McAfee Security Innovation Alliance partners integrate their products with McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO), the company's security and compliance management platform, and have the option of also integration with other McAfee products such as McAfee Endpoint Encryption and McAfee Vulnerability Management Service.

According to McAfee, SIA partners in the Sales Teaming Program will benefit from a more “proactive and mutually rewarding” selling model that will provide customers with easier access and faster evaluation of “McAfee Compatible” solutions.

McAfee also announced that nine new members have joined the SIA: Agiliance, AirPatrol Corporation; Archer Technologies, Arxan, ClearPoint Metrics, HP, RedSeal Systems, Secure Passage and Verdiem.

Integration of Agiliance’s fully-automated IT Governance Risk and Compliance platforms with McAfee ePO software will enable mutual customers to gain immediate insight into their enterprise security and compliance posture, and take steps to mitigate or remedy any gaps using ePO.

AirPatrol Corporation provides wireless security for all types of mobile devices and provides location, call, and other event information to the leading SIEM and Log Management platforms, enabling businesses to extend the security capabilities necessary to support PCI, SOX, HIPPA compliance, as well as to enable historical event activity for Forensic review and investigation.

The Archer SmartSuite Framework offers robust integration capabilities via the Archer Data Feed Manager, which enables clients to integrate detailed scan reports (including vulnerabilities) from McAfee Vulnerability Manager. In the near future Archer will be integrating with McAfee’s ePolicy Orchestrator solution, which will enable Archer customers to import baseline violations, risk and additional information that can be mapped to business critical assets, policies and controls.

Arxan protects running applications with real-time security checks and tampering alerts that will be integrated with McAfee ePO. Security administrators will receive immediate notification on and remediate against tampering attempts that threaten application and data security.

ClearPoint Metrics solutions enable IT and Security executives and their teams to measure, monitor and communicate the state, business impact, and effectiveness of their IT governance, risk and compliance initiatives. ClearPoint’s data adapters use agentless, read-only technologies that connect, collect and fuse data from a variety of third-party security solutions, such as McAfee.

By combining HP technologies and services with McAfee as part of the SIA program, enterprises gain end-to-end solutions that better address critical security challenges, improve risk management and ease the path to compliance.

The integration of RedSeal Security Risk Manager with McAfee ePO will enable customers to easily see the enterprise-wide risk associated with systems throughout the IT infrastructure. RedSeal analyzes how network controls, potential leapfrog attacks and system vulnerabilities interact together to create true exposure. Using this analysis, it automatically prioritizes patching and other remediation options to improve overall security posture.

Security analysis and compliance solutions provider Secure Passage’s flagship product, FireMon, analyzes changes and performs audits in real-time, simplifies policy management, and enforces configuration governance across firewalls, switches, routers and other network devices.

Verdiem provides enterprise software solutions to reduce the energy consumption of PC networks. Its SURVEYOR software increases business profitability and sustainability by monitoring, measuring and managing IT energy use and related greenhouse gas emissions.

“McAfee now has more than 40 partners in the SIA program committed to helping our joint customers drive operational savings with ‘McAfee Compatible’ products,” said Joe Gottlieb, Vice President of Corporate Strategy and Technology Alliances, McAfee. “As our program begins to flourish, we see numerous opportunities to assemble a wide range of product innovations that enable more effective security and compliance management workflows. Taken together, these benefits will help our customers find the savings they need to fund the advancements they require to keep up with the threat horizon.”

As well, current SIA partners Absolute Software, Passfaces, MXI Security, and Q1 Labs have announced new McAfee Compatible solutions.

Absolute’s ePO plug-in automatically deploys Computrace via ePO User Tasks and delivers graphical laptop inventory reports without leaving the ePO dashboard allowing IT asset managers to track missing computers visually from within a single, intuitive user interface.

MXI Security’s Stealth MXP USB devices are fully compatible for pre-boot authentication with McAfee Endpoint Encryption.

Passfaces is a software-based graphical, strong authentication technology that works with existing access systems to replace or reinforce passwords and is a fully-integrated, authentication “token” option for McAfee Endpoint Encryption.

Q1 Labs’ QRadar security information and event management (SIEM) offering now integrates with McAfee ePO. By combining ePO’s asset-based system security information with QRadar’s ability to monitor user, application, data center, and network-based security information, customers gain end-to-end visibility and can leverage the inherent operational efficiencies of the QRadar network security management family.
