TENAFLY, N.J. – IT-security related salaries are expected to climb in 2014, according to a survey released by TEKsystems, which polled some 900 IT leaders including CIOs, IT VPs, IT directors and IT hiring managers.

Some 65 percent of respondents said they expected security salaries to increase. That?s up from a similar survey last year when 40 percent of those polled forecast a rise in security personnel’s compensation.

Security, business intelligence, mobile, cloud computing and virtualization ranked as the top five trends that were expected to have the largest organizational impact in the coming year. Security climbed to the second position, tied at 59 percent with cloud, ahead of storage and behind mobile computing.
