SOUTHFIELD ? Jennifer Bowden, manager of the Information Security Regional Skills Alliance, will discuss her security organization during the January meeting of the Motor City Chapter of the ISSA.

The history of the Michigan RSA initiative will be presented along with an outline of the major projects underway currently. These projects include a security awareness initiative, an information security toolkit, and an educational outreach program. Opportunities for individual and organizational involvement in these initiatives will be presented.

Bowden is the manager for the Information Security Regional Skills Alliance. In this role, she coordinates the efforts of key leaders in business, education, and government to address the critical need for training and development of an information security workforce in Southeast Michigan.

Prior to joining Automation Alley, Bowden worked at Michigan Works! Troy as a training specialist. She has worked in career services at the university level, and has experience in documentation and training development for both private industry and higher education. She has a Master?s degree in student affairs administration from Michigan State University and a Bachelor?s degree in journalism from Oakland University, as well as being a certified Career Development Facilitator and Job and Career Transition Coach.
