MONROE – ImageSoft is hosting a Lunch and Learn on July 18 to showcase its new electronic prosecution solution that lets prosecutors with an application to electronically manage and try a case via a laptop computer.

ImageSoft said this eliminates the need for a physical case file. The discovery, subpoena and docketing processes are electronic as well, significantly improving overall office efficiency. In addition, the system enhances transparency and accountability by tracking all communication between prosecutor and law enforcement agencies.

Monroe County Prosecutor William Paul Nichols, who spearheaded the technology initiative, will discuss and demonstrate the solution at July 18 in Monroe County.

?We?ve realized immense benefits from this system in terms of efficiencies, improvements and

savings and wanted to share our experience with other counties,? said Nichols. ?Most, like

Monroe County, are grappling with smaller budgets and reduced staff along with mounting case loads and would benefit from hearing about our successes in employing technology to mitigate these issues and to improve and expedite criminal justice processes.?

Lunch and Learn attendees will learn how iJustice eProsecution has enabled Monroe County to:

? Electronically connect all police agencies to the prosecutor?s office

? Share data and reduce manual data entry

? Improve staff efficiency and productivity

? Automate internal processes using configurable workflow technology

The event will be held from 10 a.m. ? 1:30 p.m. at the Monroe County Emergency Services building at 987 South Raisinville Road. There is no cost to attend.
