SOUTHFIELD ? While regulatory compliance still remains one of the top strategic priorities for many CEOs, CIOs and CFOs, a recent market research survey shows that Michigan executives have serious concerns about the business benefit their companies derive from investments in piecemeal compliance solutions.

To address these challenges, three companies will sponsor a Michigan summit focused on the holistic approach to managing risk and governance for more efficient operations.

Think tank IDC and CA will sponsor a half day event November 3rd at the Skyline Club in Southfield, from 8 A.M.- 1:30 PM. The summit, which will also feature a speaker from Deloitte Consulting, is designed to brief Michigan corporate executives, IT professionals and middle managers on the business opportunities represented by integrated, sustainable risk solutions – solutions which leverage current compliance efforts and move corporate operations to the next level of effectiveness.

Laura Dubois, Research Director for IDC, and Margaret Brooks, Vice President for CA’s Compliance Practice, will lead the discussions. The summit will also feature Jeremy Britton, Senior Practice Director at Deloitte. Participants will have the opportunity to network with peers, over breakfast and lunch.

The summit will review:

Integrated risk and compliance programs and enabling technologies;

The importance of using standard control frameworks such as COSO, COBIT, and ISO17799 as well as best practices such as ITIL for both the business and IT areas;

The solution methodology to achieve optimal business and IT governance.
