GRAND RAPIDS ? Paul Hightower, Deputy Director of the Department of Homeland Security, will discuss on Nov. 6 at Grand Valley State University the important question of where does America stand in the protection of its critical infrastructure?

He?ll also discuss how much ground are we gaining on eliminating vulnerabilities and improving response capabilities? Are Americans effectively engaging in protection of the Homeland? In what ways will the National Infrastructure Protection Plan (NIPP) affect the way we do business and prepare against future threats? What types of R&D efforts is DHS sponsoring and how do I learn about them?
