YPSILANTI ? Eastern Michigan University’s Center For Regional And National Security has hired a new staff member, Samir Tout, PhD, who will be teaching and conducting research. He joins CeRNS after a career at Compuware.
In other news, the Department of Defense has hired four of CeRNs’ eight April graduates. Plus the merger between Information Assurance and Network Security is almost complete with the creation of new network security Lab.
This fall, CeRNS has enrolled 81 new undergraduate and transfer students. Some 35 new graduate students and 18 PhD Candidates in Information Assurance also have enrolled.

They will be training students and small business to conduct risk vulnerability of their enterprise and we will be using students to assist those business who do not have the expertise to make that happen.
