YPSILANTI – The Information Assurance program at the Center for Regional and National Security on Eastern Michigan University?s campus is preparing to offer its nationally recognized Computer Forensics Program to business and industry.

The six-week program has been re-formatted into four – one week blocks of critical information for the corporation that wants to prepare their own employees who may be conducting cyber related investigations.

The Computer Forensics program for the past 5 years has been restricted to law enforcement only, however with this new initiative business and industry will be able to utilize this information in securing and investigating their in-house investigations. While it is strongly recommended that law enforcement be involved in crime investigation, many cyber related incidents involve personnel matters and issues surrounding intellectual property. Some of the topics will include:

Computer Forensics Principles

Legal Challenges

Search and Seizure

Forensic Imaging and Verification

Data Recovery and Analysis

Investigative Techniques

Dates for this training will be posted to this website in the coming months.
