DETROIT – The Eastern Michigan Advisory Board met March 27 to flesh out the details for upcoming events, including creating the agenda for the CREST Tour May 30 at Oakland Community College.
The event has been subtitled,”Meet your County / State Emergency Manager / Planners?, and a second suggestion of ?Faces behind the yellow tape? was made by Tom Raupp of Delhi.
The event is expected to draw significant interest so some concern was expressed regarding whether the facility could handle the expected crowd. There is still a need for an overall coordinator for volunteers. A subcommittee has been formed that is working on several aspects of this event, and follow up will be done to determine if there will need to limit attendance.
The volunteers will be grouped into committees to manage the activities for the event. Scott Hip will be the overall coordinator, but contact information for Scott is not currently available. An April event is still being coordinated as well as the Cyber Summit in June in Lansing. A member email should be coming out shortly. The next advisory board meeting is scheduled for April 24th. Notes for the meeting were taken by Rene Souvigney, CISSP, Delphi.
