ANN ARBOR – CrimeCog Technologies has relocated its corporate headquarters from Milford to Ann Arbor to give the growing security company access to more technical employees and business resources.
The company, founded in 2003 by current chairman Tim Daley, is
privately held and has additional offices and operations in Texas,
Colorado, Illinois, Washington DC and Florida. It currently serves more than
15,000 customers.
“With the finalization of the acquisition of the EJustice Systems
software, employees and customer base from Northrop Grumman in late 2007,
CrimeCog is now poised for significant growth,” said CrimeCog President and
COO Joe McKeown. “The Ann Arbor market gives us access to the technical and
business resources we will utilize to expand our customer base. We are
uniquely positioned to provide the collection, analysis, reporting, storing
and sharing of public safety information that is so desperately needed
today by law enforcement agencies.”
EJustice Systems by is available to any public safety agency using CrimeCog’s Software as a Service delivery model for a simple monthly
subscription fee. The system manages all forms of police and sheriff
department records management, jail management, and court records in an
integrated model, allowing inter- and intra-jurisdictional data sharing,
without the burden of internal large IT systems management and upfront
costs.
In other news, CrimeCog announced an enhanced to its E Justice Systems that will allow customers to automate and better manage inmates,
inmate accounts and costs.
JMS helps corrections personnel manage and track all aspects of
incarceration, from inmate risk levels to biometric identification,
movement tracking to court appearances to probation and parole management.
The updated JMS helps customers define and track various types of
inmate billing, from room and board to medical expenses, commissary
purchases to damages and beyond. And jurisdictions can establish and
customize rates for services as well as payment plans and options.
The enhanced JMS also automates the billing and processing of inmate
payments for room and board. Once an individual is no longer in custody,
the system can automatically create and send invoices and, when necessary,
late notices.
The new release automates the process of tracking and
billing non-local inmate costs to other jurisdictions and agencies such as
the Federal Government’s Immigrations and Customs Enforcement Agency (ICE). This is a valuable new function for customers, as the financial obligations
of an agency like ICE to some localities can add up to millions of dollars
per year.
