SOUTHFIELD – Computer Associates International has rolled out its latest Identity and Access Management product, the eTrust IAM r8 Suite, which provides out of the box integration of IT resources and users.

eTrust IAM enables a common set of policies and automated workflows to be applied to all aspects of identity management and access control.

The four tightly-integrated modules in the eTrust IAM Suite share infrastructure components, utilize a common user interface, and provide unified controls and reporting. The modules include:

eTrust Admin r8.1 for role-based identity provisioning/de-provisioning and password management;

eTrust Access Control r8 for enforcing role-based access privileges heterogeneous operating system platforms;

eTrust Single Sign-on r8 for simplifying password administration

eTrust Directory r8 for managing identities and resources.

In addition to protecting corporate IT resources from unauthorized access and controlling the cost of IAM administration, eTrust IAM enables IT organizations to respond more quickly to authorization requests ? thereby ensuring that IAM processes don?t slow down the business.

Enhancements to eTrust IAM Suite r8 include:

Advanced workflow in eTrust Admin r8.1 that allows existing administrative mechanisms to be incorporated into new automated, template-based provisioning processes;

An automated best-practice policy generation in eTrust Access Control r8 that includes pre-defined policies for common applications;

Session management capabilities in eTrust Single Sign-on r8 that accommodate the sharing of workstations by multiple employees;

Enhanced ?virtual directory? capabilities in eTrust Directory r8 that route LDAP requests to multiple underlying directories, providing a single view of user identities, regardless of where their identity information resides.

eTrust Identity and Access Management Suite r8 will be available at the end of February.
