KALAMAZOO – Southwest Michigan First has published its 2004 Community Report, which features photography by recent Western Michigan University graduate Toby Broughman.
Broughman, who received a bachelors of fine arts degree from WMU in April, donated more than 300 community photos and nearly a week?s worth of his time. During his undergraduate studies, Broughman interned at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida, and studied photography in Florence, Italy.
The SMF Community Report is an annual economic progress update that is used to attract new business to the area. The 2004 edition demonstrates through local example the economic model that has become a hallmark of Kalamazoo: collaboration of industry, community leadership and higher education working toward a single vision of progress.
