DETROIT –
TEDxDetroit 2015 has released its speaker list for the Oct. 8 event at the Fox
Theatre and it includes influencers like NASA’s Dr. Cathy Olkin and the
Consumer Electronic Association’s Gary Shapiro.
In its
seventh year, the day-long event, sort of a peep rally for business and
innovation, will draw upwards of two thousand creators, designers, thinkers and
doers all set to challenge the status quo, create exciting new connections and
inspire one another, says the press release.
“Each year
we showcase a diverse group of presenters for TEDx,” said Charlie Wollborg,
TEDxDetroit curator. “TED stands for technology, entertainment and design – three
fields that inspire and drive innovation across all sectors of the economy.
Attendees can expect to hear from business professionals, educators,
scientists, artists and more, all with strong connections to and from the city
itself.”

2,000 attendees are expected at the 2015 event – the largest audience to date
in Detroit.
