SageStone is the home of GLIMAWest. Brophy said SageStone, now a NuSoft company, would continue to host the Grand Rapids GLIMA chapter. His role, however, will change with NuSoft, where he becomes president and second in command to Dale Mansour, Chairman and CEO of NuSoft Solutions.
Brophy described the two Microsoft solutions providers as ?complimentary.? Mansour described the two companies as ?extraordinarily aligned.? While David Hemler, a Microsoft Regional Vice President, called the combined companies ?an excellent resource for our customers in this region.”
NuSoft will continue to lead its operations out of Bloomfield Hills and SageStone out of Grand Rapids. The two companies will share established offices in Cincinnati and Columbus, Ohio, and Chicago, Illinois.
Brophy said about 10 jobs have been lost at SageStone, which will assume the NuSoft name next year. But he added that in the months to come, infrastructure specialists and development staff will be needed in Grand Rapids.
The newly combined NuSoft Solutions expects revenues for 2005 to exceed $25 million with an employee base of 150. About 60 employees and around a third of that revenue will come from SageStone.
GRAND RAPIDS ? SageStone Consulting CEO Keith Brophy said he?s spent the past 18 months searching for a business partner that would help his IT solutions company scale up for bigger jobs. On Monday, Brophy?s search ended with the announcement that SageStone had merged with NuSoft Solutions of Bloomfield Hills.
For Brophy, the combined companies will give his seven year old company the added muscle he?s wanted to handle big contracts from big companies.
?I am enthusiastic about what this merger means to the Midwest,? Brophy said. ?The new NuSoft Solutions allows us to provide outstanding trusted advisor service to our clients and directly address a businesses holistic needs better than any in the industry.”
