TROY ? Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson will highlight Oakland County?s Emerging Sector Program Oct. 12 and outline the steps taken to stimulate business growth and creation in Michigan?s second largest county at the third edition of Automation Alley?s Southeast Michigan Entrepreneurial Initiative.

The program will be held from 8:30 ? 11 a.m. at the Rock Financial Show Place in Novi. The first two were held at Automation Alley?s Tech Center in Troy, where some 250 people attended.

Also on the agenda will be Tom Walsh, a Detroit Free Press business columnist, will share his insight in a topic titled Where Michigan Stands in the Drive to Build New Businesses.

Besides the speeches, three emerging businesses – yet to be selected – will present their business plans and receive feedback from venture capitalists, bankers, angel investors and others with experience in assisting entrepreneurial businesses.
