ANN ARBOR – Include the IT Zone in your summer plans. Summer wouldn’t be summer without our not-to-be-missed Annual Barbeque on Tuesday, July 11. Don’t miss this popular summer event featuring hot food, cold beer and friends -old and new ? on the patio at Spark Central. We’re bringing back our favorite barbeque caterers from 2003 ? so come ready to eat.
Another summer tradition is back this year – the June Boot Camp Celebration on Tuesday, June 20. Our early June Boot Camp teams will impress you with presentations on their business plans and technology. You?ll hear from entrepreneurs developing life science companies, commercializing alternative energy vehicles, and advancing our ability to forecast weather in outer space. Our monthly programs – including Rob Pasick?s LeadersConnect, Selling Smart with Joe Marr, Search Engine Optimization, and IP Strategy Development will forge ahead without a summer break.
The summer months may seem slower at the IT Zone, but more than ever going on behind the scenes with discussion groups, CEO meetings, and committees working on marketing, membership and program planning. We?re updating the web site and adding member benefits. We?re finalizing an exciting fall line up.
While we wait on pins and needles to learn the fate of our 21st Century Job Fund grant request, we?ll be locking in great programs that kick off on September 7 with our annual Open House. Join us and ten other business development organizations for food and fun. You?ll hear about the programs each organization has planned for the fall.
Other fall highlights in the works include an encore presentation by Barry Moltz, author of You Need to Be a Little Crazy : The Truth about Starting and Growing Your Business. We?re also hosting a Sprouts life science program, contributing to the Ann Arbor Chamber of Commerce IMPACT event, participating in the Small Business Success Academy, and much, much more.
