STERLING HEIGHTS – The Macomb-OU INCubator was recently awarded Business Accelerator Funds to provide accelerator services to client companies Nostrum Energy LLC and Omni One LLC in the amounts of $50,000 and $36,635, respectively.

With the addition of these latest awards, the Macomb-OU INCubator has now surpassed all other business accelerators in garnering the most Business Accelerator Fund dollars to assist client companies.

“We look forward to watching these two well-positioned companies take it to the next level, said Julie Gustafson, executive director of the Macomb-OU INCubator. “The BAF program, supported by the Michigan Economic Development Corporation, is an important catalyst for business growth in the state.”

Nostrum Energy is an advanced technology company and producer of water and fuel injection components and systems, specifically the Nostrum Cycle? for the transportation and stationary power industries.

The BAF for Nostrum Energy will assist with commercialization efforts, specifically for efficiency and emissions technologies for aftermarket and original equipment manufacturer (OEM) applications that deliver unprecedented fuel economy improvement and emissions reduction in today’s internal combustion engines.

The Omni One BAF will assist with next-stage commercialization, intellectual property protection, and the closure of near-term investment opportunities of DiabetainC, an over-the-counter (OTC) natural supplement to help diabetic and pre-diabetic patients reduce blood glucose levels.

DiabetainC is safe for long-term use and has proven to be remarkably consistent and effective through multiple tests and trials. This comprehensive research and development is not a Food and Drug Administration (FDA) requirement of an OTC natural supplement, however, Omni One strives to prove the highest standards of development, consistency, efficacy and safety while also providing a strategic, competitive advantage and broader reach.

These BAF awards are distributed by the Michigan Small Business Development Center (MI-SBDC) through Mac-OU INC to the various accelerator service providers. As these awards demonstrate, the Macomb-OU INCubator is successfully delivering specialized business acceleration services to companies commercializing advanced technology. The BAF is a 21st Century Jobs Fund Program managed by the MI-SBDC in partnership with the Michigan Economic Development Corporation and Michigan’s network of business accelerators.
