BIRMINGHAM – Hannan Lis was installed as the third President of The Michigan Israel Business Bridge at the organization’s Annual Meeting on July 24.

Originally from Haifa, Israel, Hannan Lis, is principal, COO and board member of The WW Group, Inc. (Weight Watchers? largest franchise group), and founder and CEO of Lis Ventures LLC, a venture fund investing in emerging technologies and companies.

Through Lis Ventures, he is chairman of Estrakon Inc, and Ann Arbor based lighting display technology company, chairman of HBR Labs, an Israel/US web collaboration and communications company and the chairman of Yoga Shelter LLC a Michigan chain of yoga studios operating in Michigan and California.

He is a past President of the Jewish Community Centers of Metropolitan Detroit, a past National Board member of the American Jewish Committee, past Midwest President and National Vice President of JNF, founder of the Land of Promise Foundation, and a member of the Detroit Federation Board of Governors. Lis is a Co-President of MOPAC, a Democratic political action committee and a member of AIPAC National Council. Currently, Lis serves as President of American Technion Society and is also a member of ATS National Board of Governors. Lis is also a board member of the Detroit Public Television. Lis is one of the founders of MIBB.

Also installed were Vice-Presidents Alan Brilliant (Ann Arbor), Beth Gotthelf (Birmingham), Robyn Lederman (West Bloomfield) and Mark Milgrom (Farmington Hills). The Treasurer is Joseph Ben-Gal (Farmington Hills) and the Secretary is David Weaver (Bloomfield Hills).

Joining as new members of the Board of Directors are: Richard Bardenstein (Jerusalem), Joshua Bloom (Ann Arbor), Michael Dergis (Bloomfield Hills), Neal Elyakin (Ann Arbor), Adam Finkel (Bloomfield Hills), Steve LeBeau (Northville), Hal Ostrow (Grand Rapids), Kevin McLeod (Kalamazoo), Lisa Rosenbaum (Bloomfield Hills), Mark Schauer (Battle Creek) and Neil Weissman (Canton).
