Devon Wolfe, Global Practice Leader for Retail, Restaurant, and Real Estate, MapInfo Corp., will provide behind-the-scenes insights on retail location intelligence. How does Home Depot determine where to build its next new store? How does Burger King decide exactly which new markets represent their best opportunities for growth?

In 2003, of Troy, NY, acquired Thompson Associates, and today MapInfo?s Ann Arbor team maintains its leadership in retail location intelligence. Over the years, the company has counseled hundreds of the retail and restaurant industries? giants.

Wolfe has developed MapInfo?s models for market optimization and site forecasting using a variety of techniques, including regression analysis, automated analog approaches, and CHAID modeling. He frequently meets with MapInfo clients in the retail, restaurant, and real estate industries to determine their marketing, site selection, and data mining needs.

Wolfe?s background in location research includes site-specific research for grocery, drug, home improvement, and pet store clients, as well as restaurant chains.
