GRAND RAPIDS – The Center for Leadership at Grand Valley State University has announced three upcoming leadership programs – Spring What Leaders Do – The Leadership Development Series, Leading High Performance Teams, and Emerging Leader Workshop.

What Leaders Do – The Leadership Development Series

Learn the key skills necessary to be a leader and bring confidence and success to your organization. This innovative program will introduce you to the ten essential tasks that Leaders DO. You will not be alone in this journey; a leadership coach will guide you in developing your skills as a leader.

Cohorts convene every four weeks for a total of twelve times, ten full day and two half-day sessions over one year. Cohorts are held from May 14, 2015 – April 7, 2016. All cohort dates occur on Thursday’s.

Leading High Performance Teams

Learn the core competencies that come together to produce effective teams and how to foster them in your organization. You’ll identify opportunities and challenges of team building in your own organization and learn to build alignment, improve communication, resolve conflict, promote innovation, establish trust, and foster team orientation.

Cohorts convene three times, one full day and two half day sessions. Cohorts are held May 27, 2015 (8:00am-5:00pm); June 24, 2015 (8:00am-12:00pm); and July 29, 2015 (8:00am-12:00pm). All three days fall on Wednesday’s.

Emerging Leader Workshop

This one-day workshop will provide prospective leaders with deep insight into their own work styles and provide foundational understanding of two main elements of successful leadership – Understanding Yourself and Understanding Leadership. A 360 analysis is included in the program.

Cohort will convene for one full day on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 from 8:00am – 5:00pm.
