GRAND RAPIDS ? Foxbright, a fast growing West Michigan company that designs web-based software, has moved into its new digs in the historic Waters Building of downtown Grand Rapids where the company hopes to capture even more business.

Foxbright?s President is Catherine Ettinger, one of the founding members of GLIMAWest in Grand Rapids.

Spurred by the success of its newly released Content Management System, which powers the web sites of several Michigan school districts and educational consortia, Foxbright has grown from 5 to 12 fulltime staff since the beginning of this year. The new 3,000 square foot office space replaces a cramped 1000 square foot office the company had leased on nearby Monroe Ave.

Foxbright was formed a year ago from the merger of two companies, H2ML out of Muskegon and CordesTech in Grand Rapids.

?Our next stage of growth will be setting up state-by-state sales and service representation,? said Rob Huisingh, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Foxbright, who just joined GLIMAWest.

Huisingh said the company said the move was prompted by the company?s rapid growth in the education market.

?We are focused against two main online competitors, schoolwires.com and finalsite.com,? he said. ?Our product, Foxbright for Schools, is different from these solutions, in that we license our product for deployment on the school servers. It has a significant ROI as compared to the SAP annual fees that these services require.

Foxbright has sold its software to the following school districts:

Kent ISD, Muskegon ISD, Mona Shores Public Schools, Fruitport Community Schools, Reeths-Puffer Public Schools, Muskegon Public Schools, Montague Public Schools and we have received approval from the Kalamazoo Regional Educational Service Agency. We are currently poised to capture new schools near Detroit and elsewhere in Michigan.
