GRAND RAPIDS ? Tonya Wilholt, a founding member of GLIMAWest, has resigned from the tech networking group?s board to spend more time running her growing business, Web Experiences, and to raise her rapidly growing twin 15-month boys, Andrew and Noah.

Wilholt also has resigned as technology columnist for MIBizWest, a weekly business journal covering the West side of Michigan.

?It?s been a real good experience building GLIMAWest,? said Wilholt, a former GLIMAWest Vice President. ?GLIMAWest is a great organization where local tech professionals can get together, network and build the technology community in West Michigan. It?s going to be sad to not be a part of making things happen anymore, but I plan to make the monthly meetings when I can.?

Wilholt is a communications specialist with more than 12 years of experience. She is a member of the Usability Professionals’ Association and the Association of Computing Machinery’s Special Interest Group for Computer Human Interaction. She also holds her usability certification through Human Factors International.

Before starting her consulting business in 1998, Tonya was a project coordinator for Nucleus Communications in Kalamazoo. She previously worked as a project manager and editor for the European Internet Network in Prague, Czech Republic, and as a reporter for The Grand Rapids Press.
