TROY – GLIMASoutheast will host its annual State of Technology event in October at the Tigers Den in Comerica Park. This year?s technology under examination is wireless.
The program will explore opportunities, risks and challenges in the wireless industry. Industry executives will share their insights from the equipment, network, business application and marketing and advertising perspectives. They will also provided attendees with a comprehensive understanding of where the industry stands today and where it may evolve in the future.
The Oct. 6 event, which runs from 6-9 p.m., will be moderated by Detroit Free Press technology columnist Mike Wendland and Great Lakes IT Report Editor Matt Roush.
Several local businesses have already signed on as event sponsors, including Gold Sponsor Siemens, Silver Sponsor LDMI and Bronze Sponsors Dell and Nortel. Representatives from these companies will be available during the networking portions of State of the Wireless event to show attendees the latest and greatest in wireless offerings.
Pre-Sept. 22nd registration cost for the event is $25 for GLIMA members and $40 for non-members and includes a drink coupon and complimentary hors d?oeuvres. Post-Sept. 22 registration cost will increase to $35 for members and $50 for non-members and can be paid at the door by cash or check only.
