TRAVERSE CITY ? GLIMANorthwest has formed a partnership with the Traverse City Area Chamber of Commerce to help recruit tech businesses as well as technology professionals to this northern Michigan resort community. The Chamber also donated $10,000 to the partnership.
?With this strategic partnership, GLIMANorthwest and the Chamber have the opportunity to change the technology face of our region,” said Ian Jones, president of GLIMAWest and Career Services Coordinator for Davenport University.
?We look forward to collaborating with the Chamber on a host of technology-related issues and supporting members who are looking for ways to improve efficiency and profitability, but need to be connected to the tools, resources and know-how to make it happen.?
Chamber President Doug Luciani was equally optimistic about the impact the new partnership will have on the technology image of greater Traverse City.
?This partnership confirms the Chamber?s commitment to support and promote technology growth in our region,” he said. “Both organizations bring valuable resources to the table to achieve these goals. Collaborating with an organization like GLIMA just makes sense.?
