TROY – Starting Nov. 28, the organization formerly known as GLIMA, Automation Alley’s Association of Interactive Professionals, has become ConnecTech. The mission of ConnecTech is to become Michigan’s premier organization for technology professionals, providing them with the benefits, opportunities, resources and tools vital to their success. Our vision is to promote the advancement of Michigan’s knowledge-based workforce by connecting individuals and communities through technology.
What does this mean to former GLIMA members?
Many things:
If you joined GLIMA in 2007, your current GLIMA membership is now a ConnecTech membership, and is valid through Dec. 31, 2008.
You have website login information, a membership card and a special gift waiting for you at your chapter?s launch party.
You now have access to other members across the state, and the ability to communicate with them via an online forum.
You can share your industry knowledge and learn from others in the network.
You?ll be invited to participate in members-only webinars on pertinent topics.
You can apply to our mentoring program with Midwest Technology Leaders starting January 1, 2008.
Beginning first quarter 2008, you can look to our all-new Web site as a source for career development tips and insight from current CIOs.
Your satisfaction with our new organization is essential. Our hope is that we have captured many benefits that you will use immediately, but we may have overlooked something you would like to see. If that is the case, please feel free to contact me with any suggestions, questions or concerns.
I look forward to meeting you all very soon at your local launch party!
Danielle DeLonge,
GLIMA Network Manager
