LANSING – GLIMAMidMich is promoting a program Oct. 6 that will bring together experts in Michigan telecommunications, IT and media law to discuss the current rewrite of the Michigan Telecom Act.

These experts will share their views on this new legislation from the perspectives of telephone, cable, wireless, Internet, broadcasting and other telecommunication systems and services. This event will be held from 6-8 PM at the Michigan State University Communication Arts & Sciences Building in Auditorium Room 147.

In addition to individual presentations, a panel discussion including a question and answer session with the audience will be held. The panel discussion will be moderated by Professor D. Adam Candeub from the Michigan State University College of Law. Based upon the interaction already generated by this new legislation, the program promises to give attendees the opportunity to clearly understand this new development in the fields of telecom information and media. This event will also allow attendees to network with other technology-oriented professionals in the Mid-Michigan region.
