TROY ? The GLIMA Network has added two new chapters, one in Northern Michigan and another in Southeast Michigan. The new chapters are GLIMANorth in Gaylord, and GLIMA Livingston.
?The GLIMA Network is expanding and we are excited about bringing networking, professional development and social activities to the technology professionals of Livingston County and Northern Michigan,? said Phil Bertolini, GLIMA Network Executive Director. ?The face of Michigan is changing to high-tech and we, Automation Alley and GLIMA, have a front row seat for the show.?
The GLIMA Network is affiliated with Automation Alley, which is the technology marketing arm for 10 counties in Southeast Michigan.
Jack Thompson, Executive Director of University Center in Gaylord, has been the driving force behind starting a chapter in Northern Michigan, Bertolini said. GLIMANorth will launch on October 12th at University Center at Gaylord. The launch will feature networking, hors d?oeuvres as well as guest speakers from Cisco.
GLIMA Livingston will hold its launch event Nov. 7 at the Crystal Gardens Banquet Center, 5768 E. Grand River in Howell. The event will be held in conjunction with the Greater Brighton Chamber of Commerce and begins at 8 a.m. The featured speaker is Grady Burnett, director of operations and online sales for Google’s new office in Ann Arbor.
