ANN ARBOR – The March 14 Hi-Tech Tuesday program will shift to lunch from dinner and feature Lou Pavledes, president of ELP Enterprises, the former CEO of Detroit’s Civic Center who took the less traveled road in 2005 when he became an entrepreneur.
Pavledes’ conversion will be recounted in a special lunch program, catered by Zingerman’s deli, scheduled for noon sharp.
LP Enterprises consults with civic centers, convention centers, and arenas ? working with both public and private organizations in the pre-planning, building expansion, troubleshooting, and management of these facilities.
Prior to founding his own company, Lou spent ten years as the Director of the Civic Center Department (which includes Cobo Center) for the City of Detroit. Before coming to Michigan, Lou was Director and CEO of the Meadowlands Convention Center in New Jersey. He was also Director and CEO of Summit Associates and opened four private convention facilities.
In addition to his work, Lou serves on the boards of the Metropolitan Detroit YMCA, Health One Credit Union and International Association of Assembly Managers.
